Ahhh, nothing says Santa quite like a bucket full of naked children. This photo is from Amesterdam, which gives it a bit more sense given their odd story of Santa... David Sedaris puts it best in a story called 'Six to Eight Black Men' which is well worth a read if have 15 minutes and are in a place you can laugh out loud.

The story about the six to eight black men is hilarious. It really is best to read it where you can laugh out loud. You gotta wonder how our traditional tales come to be, don't you? But after learning about the Dutch tradition I think I am glad to be an American.

And thanks to Lindsey (my cousin) for taking that! We were still so shocked to see her there (it was only her sister Amber who actually lives in Amsterdam that we were expecting) that we failed to take our camera our first day out... Good eye, Linds.
