Some of our favo(u)rite 39 photos

Sorry for the lag of posts as of late folks. We are finally feeling a little more setteled down (despite still being jobless and homeless) but there has been so many things to do as of late, portfolios to print (and endless fuss over), resumes to write, (and rewrite), and the glorious phone calls to potiental employers (I can think of little I like more than those).

Anyway, to get our mind off of those things here are a few of our favo(u)rite pictures from the most recent trip.

Our travelling companions 2

We've written about the Saxo before, but we just thought we'd mention again that the first car of our married life (and Megan's first ever self-owned car) was a great one, all 1.1 litres of it. Despite its age, it managed between 35 and 45 miles per gallon on average and drove 7,540 miles altogether without incident. Our average gallon of gas cost $5.61, and the car's longest day (our second to last) was 542 miles, where it went about 125 kph (78mph) all day since 130 seemed to be directly linked to the overheating indicator light. A few times we wished for a camper van where we could just stretch out in warmth and dryness on those cold, rainy nights, but then when we look at our gas bills, think of driving through Rome, Monaco, and Athens, or remember the precariously narrow roads we drove on a daily basis... we sigh yet again and think about what a great car it was!

We watched it roll over to 100,000 miles...

...tried to treat it well, although sometimes bad conditions were inevitable...

...as were some roads...

...tried to keep it clean...

...and tried to take it to some fairly "foriegn" places.

It always started just fine (except for that one time...) and made it all 7,540 miles in one peice. I don't think it knew what exciting things we had in store for it!
